ANALISIS KESALAHAN DALAM MENYELESAIKAN SOAL MATEMATIKA

This study qualitative descriptive aims to know (1) To know what kinds of make mistakes students of class X Mechanical Engineering Skill Program SMK PIRI Sleman in solving the problems on the subject matrix. And (2) To know what factors caused the students of class X of Mechanical Engineering Program of SMK PIRI Sleman to make mistakes in solving the problems on the subject of the matrix. Based on the result of the research, there are threemake mistakesthe students: (1) Misconceptions that include (a) Inappropriate formula usage, this is because students do not understand the meaning of the problem and do not know which formula to use, (b) Conclusions based on questionsnumber 1, this is because students do not understand the properties of the summation of the matrix, (C) Mistakes in finding matrix multiplication, this is because students do not understand matrix multiplication formula, (d) Mistakes in finding the determinant of matrix and inverse matrix, this is because students do not understand about search inverse matrix requirement. (2) Miscalculation, this is because students are careless in doing the calculation, (3) Mark mistakes, this is because students are not carefulin reading and writing back the known problem.
