Abstract

The objective of the study is to know 1)
SMK response on the development of contemporary
bridal makeup subjects, 2) The development of
bridal makeup subjects, 3) Manifestation of
traditional value of contemporary bridal makeup in
beauty and cosmetology subjects in vocational
school. This research uses the qualitative approach.
Sources of research data based on information from
beauty and cosmetology leather teachers, heads of
cosmetology and beauty majors, three students
through interviews, observation, and
documentation. Qualitative data analysis technique
with an interactive model. The results showed: 1)
the SMK has not responded about the bridal makeup
2) The development effort was done, the students
looking for the reference source of cosmetology and
discussed with the teacher, following the makeup
event (Carnival, Performance, LKS), 3)
